After School Program
Pensacola Parks & Recreation after school programs provide educational and recreational enrichment opportunities through exciting experiences and exploration. We offer after school programs at four locations: E.S. Cobb, Fricker, Gull Point and Woodland Heights Resource Centers. Register Here. The YMCA of Northwest Florida will offer after school care at Vickrey Resource Center.
Our after school program is a recreation based program with activities that encourage children to be healthier and happier through active play, fitness and sports, dance and drama instruction, computer exploration and S.T.E.A.M. activities. Our program also includes homework-tutoring and a nutritious afternoon snack.
NEW PARTICIPANTS: Before enrolling please contact the Escambia County School District Transportation Office to make sure your child will have bus transportation to your after school site. Transportation for Vickrey Resource Center is provided by the YMCA.

We've Partnered with YMCA to offer after school care at Vickrey!
The City of Pensacola and YMCA have worked together for years to serve the community. Our latest partnership involves a land swap that includes the YMCA now running the after school program at the Vickrey Center.
The Y’s after school curriculum includes homework help, healthy eating and physical activity, and regular STEM activities to enhance learning.
The cost for the Y’s program is $38/week for members and $52/week for other participants. Cost includes transportation and a daily snack. The Y offers financial assistance if those fees are out of reach.
Registration is now open and available online, just click here. Contact Child Care Director Angela Stephens at astephens@ymcanwfl.org or call 478-1222 for information. You can also visit the Northeast YMCA (3215 Langley Ave.) to register in person.
We’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring to the residents of Pensacola and look forward to serving you during the 2021-22 school year.
Transportation is provided in the program cost at Vickrey. Visit www.ymcanwfl.org to register.
