Responsibilities

The mission of the Public Works and Facilities Department is to provide courteous and quality service, while maintaining the city's infrastructure, such as:

  • Facilities
  • Streets
  • Sidewalks
  • Stormwater systems
  • Street lighting
  • Traffic control devices

Major Goals

  • Address stormwater problems related to both flooding and water quality issues.
  • Protect the city's investment in its roadway drainage and sidewalk facilities through the planning, implementation, and administration of maintenance, inspection and improvement programs.
  • Protect the city's natural resources in a manner compatible with policies, codes, and regulations.

TEMPORARY USE BANNER PERMITS

There are 2 spaces available for temporary banners to hang at the intersection of Garden St and Palafox. Spaces can be reserved for up to 2 weeks. 

The fees are $35 per week for non-profit organizations and $100 for for-profit organizations. If your organization is interested in reserving a spot, all applications must be submitted through mygovernmentonline.org following the instructions below.
