The Halloween Egg Haunt will take place on Saturday, October 27th, at Roger Scott Athletic Complex (2130 Summit Blvd) from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. There will be five egg haunts for children who are stroller age up to 13 years, fun games, Pensacola News Journal Costume Contest and selfie photo booth, a Haunted Hayride, Creepy Critters from Animal Tales, and bounce houses. Admission is FREE! We ask those who can to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item to the onsite MANNA food drive.
Here is a list of most needed items for Manna:
Breakfast Foods (individually packaged oatmeal and grits)
Canned Fruit (15 oz. can, in natural juice)
Plain Rice (1 lb. bag)
Dried Beans (1 lb. bag)
Canned Chicken (13 oz.)
Canned Vegetables (except for corn and green beans)
Manna also accepts and appreciates all non-perishable food donations. To ensure food safety, we cannot take any rusty or unlabeled cans, perishable items, homemade items, noncommercial canned or packaged goods, alcoholic beverages, or items that have been used or opened.
We are also kicking off our Operation Backpack: Resupply drive at the Halloween Egg Haunt!
We ask those who can bring a school supply donation to PlayPensacola’s Information Table across from the Egg Field. Join the City of Pensacola Parks & Recreation and your Neighborhood Resource Centers for Operation Backpack: Resupply. Help us kick off the giving season by donating backpacks and school supplies to prepare our kids for the second half of the school year. The kids we help through this campaign will be filled with joy, hope, and excitement as they enter into the second half of the school year. Help us rejuvenate our youth and help them to always succeed. For more details click here to visit the Operation Backpage page.
