The city is working with FEMA on multiple projects to restore and repair city parks, boardwalks, waterfront areas and public amenities that were damaged by Hurricane Sally. Projects are expected to be completed by Summer 2022, except for Wayside Park.

Community Maritime Park and Sanders Beach

The city began repairs in Dec. 2021 to waterfront areas of Community Maritime Park and Sanders Beach that were damaged during Hurricane Sally. Waterfront areas will be closed during repairs and are estimated to be completed in April 2022.
Plaza de Luna

The city will begin repairs this month to the Plaza de Luna boardwalk and park that was damaged during Hurricane Sally. Plaza de Luna will be closed while repairs are completed. Repairs will begin Feb. 16, with an estimated completion date of July 2022.
