Pensacola Parks and Recreation received a generous donation form the Pensacola Tennis Club (PTTC) on Nov. 17, 2022. Proceeds were raised from the 7th Annual Table Tennis Tournament held on Oct. 22, 2022 at Fricker Resource Center.
The Pensacola Table Tennis Club (PTTC) non-sanctioned tournament is held each year to benefit the club's home facility, Fricker Resource Center. The club raised and donated $800.00 to Fricker Resource Center at their 2022 tournament. Proceeds provide financial support for youth to participate in programs hosted at the center. "The tournament roster this year was wide in scope and deep in talent," said L.A. Johnston, PTTC Club President. Players hailed from as nearby as Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Mobile, Ala., all the way to Boston, Mass. This giant road-robin tournament event hosted 29 players and introduced a "fun doubles competition" during the lunch break where all eight teams had a great time. It was also the first tournament for many students at Mobile High School who traveled to Pensacola for the event. City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each of the tournament participants and to the Pensacola Table Tennis Club for their generosity and continued support. Thank you!
