A Pensacola woman is hospitalized in stable condition after she was hit by a car while crossing Cervantes Street this afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cervantes Street and 14th Avenue.
Officer Jason Browning said Sandra Leigha Galloway, 46, was walking northbound on 14th Avenue when she walked in front of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Hali Nichole Shirley, 30, of Pensacola.
Browning said Shirley was eastbound on Cervantes Street in the left-hand lane. Shirley was not injured; no charges have been filed.
Browning said Galloway was walking diagonally across Cervantes Street outside of a designated crosswalk.
