A man who was wanted after he was
involved in a traffic crash last month and left the scene before police arrivedhas been arrested.
Jason Phillip Lowy, 31, address
unavailable, turned himself in around 1:15 p.m. today at the Escambia CountyJail. He was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage.
The crash occurred around 7:25
a.m. February 24 as a 2001 black Volkswagen Beetle with a Florida license tagof 193RSA was leaving the BP station at 2111 W. Garden St. Officer Tony Garza
said the Volkswagen struck the passenger side of a Nissan driven by DanielleDurant, 26, of Pensacola and then fled the scene. Durant was eastbound on
Garden Street at the time.
Garza said Lowy was identified asthe suspect during the investigation.
