The name of a man who died in a single-vehicle traffic crash Sunday night has been released.
The man has been identified as Scott Baehr, 38, of Pensacola.
Officer Ronald Boutin said the crash occurred just before 11 p.m. near the intersection of Bayou Boulevard and Inverness Drive.
Boutin said a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Baehr was northbound on Bayou Boulevard when he lost control in the curve near Inverness, over corrected and left the road. The truck then struck a parked excavator and rolled over.
Baehr, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected and died at the scene, Boutin said.
