Baptist Health Care has partnered with organizations that maintain a strong community reach throughout Escambia County to bring their Wellness Wednesday Seminar Series directly to families. The City of Pensacola’s Parks and Recreation Department has been selected to host two Wellness Wednesday events at our resource centers.
 
The ‘Healthy Hearts’ installment of this series will take place Wednesday, February 26^th, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Heights Resource Center.
 
Cardiologist, Dr. Pelbreton C. Balfour, Jr., M.D., Sc.M., of Baptist Heart & Vascular Institute will instruct an insightful seminar that will cover ways to prevent, detect and treat heart disease through diet, exercise, stress reduction and medication.
 
This seminar will teach you how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart disease as well as provide tips on how to maintain a positive outlook and healthy lifestyle after a cardiac event.
 
Blood pressure screenings and lunch will be provided, and the mobile unit of Community Health of Northwest Florida will be onsite.
