Residents Asked Not to Place Additional Debris Curbside Before ZetaFor everyone's safety, City of Pensacola residents are asked not to place additional debris curbside until after Tropical Storm Zeta moves through the Gulf Coast and is no longer a threat to the Pensacola area. Sanitation customers should also secure their garbage and recycling cans and not place them curbside until after the storm has passed. City of Pensacola Sanitation crews and contractors are continuing to collect remaining debris from Hurricane Sally, completing the first pass for yard debris collection last week. The city has collected over 10,804 loads totaling 471,796 cubic yards since collection began on Monday, Sept. 21.
The final pass for Hurricane Sally debris collection in the City of Pensacola is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16. As a reminder, City of Pensacola Sanitation Services will not operate on Thursday, Oct. 29. Thursday customers will receive garbage and recycling pickup on Friday, Oct. 30, weather permitting.
