Temporary Lane Closure at Alcaniz Street and Government Street Jan. 26

Drivers will experience a temporary lane closure and detour beginning Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Alcaniz Street and Government Street as construction continues on the Alcaniz Street Outfall to Pensacola Bay Stormwater Treatment Project.

Eastbound traffic on Government Street will be detoured around the intersection, but the westbound lane will remain open to through traffic. The detour is expected to remain in effect for approximately three days, weather permitting.

A city construction inspector will be monitoring the contractor and project progress daily.
