Jefferson Street Revitalization Project Phase II to Begin June 1

Phase II of the Jefferson Street Revitalization Project is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 1, which will include improvements on Jefferson Street between Garden Street and Chase Street.
 
Construction of Phase II is expected to take approximately 6-8 months to complete, weather permitting. Jefferson Street between Garden Street and Chase Street will be closed to vehicular traffic during construction of Phase II, which includes the undergrounding of power lines, utility improvements, road diet, landscaping and hardscaping. The City of Pensacola Community Redevelopment Agency is providing partial funding for this project as part of the CRA Master Redevelopment Agreement, in partnership with the East Garden District development group.
