City Reminds Residents of Rules for Garbage and Recycling Can Placement

The City of Pensacola would like to remind City Sanitation customers of the rules for proper placement of their garbage and recycling cans, which are outlined in the city's Code of Ordinances.

Please remember to be courteous to your neighbors by following these rules:

Do not place your garbage and recycling containers out for collection before 6 p.m. on the day preceding your scheduled collection day.
Remove your garbage and recycling containers no later than 6 a.m. the day after your scheduled collection day.

Premium Collection Service

City of Pensacola Sanitation Services offers Premium Collection Service to customers for an additional $20 each month, which includes the following services:

Retrieval of recycling and garbage carts from the resident's desired location
Returning recycling and garbage carts to their original location

Recycle Coach App

Pensacola Sanitation customers can keep up with sanitation collection schedule changes through the Recycle Coach app, which is free to download on the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Recycle Coach can also be used via the online web app on the Recycle Coach website or City of Pensacola website. To use Recycle Coach, City of Pensacola Sanitation customers can search "Pensacola" in the app, then select "Pensacola, Florida, USA (City of Pensacola)."
