House Fire on Springdale Circle Results in Fatality


Pensacola Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 400 block of Springdale Circle in Pensacola this morning, which sadly resulted in one fatality.

Upon arriving on scene, PFD received reports of an occupant trapped inside the home. PFD firefighters entered the home through a window in severe smoke and heat conditions to conduct a thorough search, discovering one adult victim deceased in the home. 

Two adult occupants escaped from the fire and were transported to a local hospital by Escambia County EMS. 

Pensacola Fire Department received a call at approximately 10:17 a.m. reporting a residential structure fire. PFD crews arrived on scene at approximately 10:21 a.m. to find heavy flames showing from the single-story residence. There was severe fire damage throughout the home. 

The fire has been extinguished, but Pensacola Fire Department remains on scene. The Florida State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
