REMINDER: Sanders Beach Playground Ribbon Cutting Today (Wednesday, March 8)

The City of Pensacola invites the community to a ribbon cutting event on Wednesday, March 8 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the completion of a new playground at Sanders Beach Park, located at 913 S. I St. in Pensacola.

The new playground provides additional recreational opportunities and enhanced park features for children to enjoy, including aquatic themed playground structures.

Through the project, City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation installed the following amenities at Sanders Beach Park, suitable for ages 5-12:

Three slides, including a tower slide, spiral slide and a single slide for younger children
Climbing features
Double arch swing
Wally whale
Sea turtle
Spinner
Funnel bridge
Lighthouse

Sanders Beach Park is located just west of the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center, along the waterfront near the Sanders Beach Park Boat Launch.
