Public Notice: Special Events at City of Pensacola Parks and Facilities
With spring and summer event season in full swing, the City of Pensacola would like to remind the public that anyone planning to host a special event at a city-owned park or facility must follow the appropriate approval and permitting process.
The approval and permitting process varies depending on the event location, size of the event, and other factors. The City of Pensacola has staff who are ready and willing to help guide event organizers through the process to help ensure all requirements are met.
The permitting process for city parks and facilities also applies to the recently-opened Blake Doyle Community Skatepark, which is owned and operated by the City of Pensacola.
The only permitted event at the Blake Doyle Community Skatepark is the official opening day event being hosted by Upward Intuition on Saturday, June 10. No further events are being permitted at the skatepark at this time, but this is expected to be reassessed at a later date to potentially allow additional permitted events in the future.
Event organizers may contact City of Pensacola Special Events Supervisor Nikki Gray at ngray@cityofpensacola.com or 850-436-5671 for more information about scheduling a special event at a city-owned park or facility.
