UNITED WAY KICKS OFF ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
Many donors have been surprised when they needed support from an agency funded by United Way. With over $2 million invested in programs and initiatives that help local residents when they need it most, United Way’s annual campaign is an opportunity for local citizens to get involved in the community they love. To make involvement and giving back easier, United Way of Escambia County invites the community to attend the Circus-Themed Campaign Kickoff presented by West Florida Healthcare and sponsored by Molina Healthcare. A free luncheon will provide an opportunity to network with other community leaders while visiting 12 nonprofits who will share their mission and stories of how working together best serves our community. The three-ringed kickoff, hosted at Pensacola Bay Center will take place on Thursday, September 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The three ring circus celebration serves to remind attendees that giving and helping others should be fun. Under the Big Top, United Way will give attendees the opportunity to visit a few of the nonprofit partners are working with United Way to fight for the Health, Education and Financial Stability of every citizen in order to build a stronger community. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about how their donations improve lives in Escambia County through the commitment of partners like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, Council on Aging of West Florida, Gulf Coast Kid's House and The Leaning Post Ranch. United Way will announce our community’s workplace campaign goal for the year and will recognize the Pacesetter campaign totals. These campaigns represent those that have “set the pace” and built momentum for the campaign year.
If you are interested in how you can combine your giving and community impact with 8,000 other generous donors from 250 workplaces, join United Way for a free lunch. For more information or to RSVP email email@example.com or call United Way at 434.3157. Tables of eight can be reserved.
