City of Pensacola job applications upgraded to accommodate mobile compatibility

Today, the City of Pensacola is pleased to announce an upgrade to the electronic job application process which will now allow potential job candidates to apply for City of Pensacola job opportunities with a smart phone or tablet.

Prior to this upgrade, candidates were able to apply for City jobs from any computer with internet access. The upgrade is compatible with both Iphone and Android platforms and allows for interested applicants to apply from the palms of their hands. There may be some differences in appearance, but the end result will be the same.

“This is an added feature to make applying for City jobs easier and more accessible,” said Edward Sisson, Chief Human Resources Officer. “More and more people are using mobile devices for computing and online activities."

Online job applications are the direction for the future and we are proud to be a local leader in providing this functionality to those interested in joining the City team to serve our wonderful citizens. Mayor Hayward has taken large steps in making the City and its services more readily available to citizens through the creation of the 311 and City of Pensacola apps. This is just one more step towards his vision of making City services accessible to all. "The easier and less cumbersome we make the application process the more likely we will be capable of recruiting top talent which keeps us moving forward in being the best stewards of the public trust possible,” said Sisson.

Candidates will still create accounts and apply electronically. For more information or to view current job openings, please click here
