Attendees at October 8th Pumpkin Patch will have thousands of hand-blown glass and handcrafted ceramic pumpkins to choose from. The pumpkins are created by artists working in the glass and ceramic studios at First City Art Center. Handmade pumpkins come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Come and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces that are guaranteed to be “picked” quickly. Prices for pumpkins begin at $20. The event not only supports FCAC as a non-profit center for the arts offering affordable art education and outreach programs, your pumpkin purchases also support over 40 local artists!
Help keep city parks clean! Join the Scenic Highway Foundation, Ocean Hour, Earth Ethics, and the City of Pensacola on the second Saturday of the month at Bay Bluffs Preserve from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the cleanup of Bay Bluffs, Chimney Park, and surrounding area. Sign-in is at 8:45 a.m. All ages are welcome and all cleanup supplies will be provided. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. We hope to see you there!
Ghostly Greetings! We would like, if we may, to take you on a strange and spooky journey. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to join us for an evening of fun at the Play Pensacola Halloween Movie Night sponsored by MyPensacola Credit Union and Whataburger! We'll also be joined by our master of ceremonies, Sonshine, from Soft Rock 94.1! Don't forget to wear your costume! We're having a costume contest! There will be a screening of the Halloween-themed movie classic "Hocus Pocus" immediately following our costume contest. Concessions from local food truck vendors will be available for purchase. Come out for a fang-tastic time!
Free one-hour pilates classes will be held in Community Maritime Park on the third Sunday of each month throughout 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Classes are open to all ages and levels of experience. Certified instructors from Pure Pilates Studio will provide instruction. The class is free, but you will need to BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat) and any other accessories you would like to use. Stay hydrated! Don't forget to bring a bottle of water. We hope to see you there!
The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Board meets on the third Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room inside of City Hall. Citizens may attend board meetings in person or online.
